Put 'er on the back burner...

![]() ![]() "Let's just put that on the back burner for now..." The story is, that is what Loren and Lou kept saying when considering becoming a band... back in the '90's some time. Since adding Karen a few years ago, they expanded into swing - yes, with a banjo, dobro, fiddle and mando! It works pretty well, actually... I joined them last year (the recordings linked from the website are with the previous mandolin player...) and it's a great treat to work with this caliber of musicians! It's a hobby, of course, done for the love of the whole process. We do the majority of our gigs around the Seattle area at arts-in-the-parks, private/corporate functions, civic functions, the odd mall gig (a few around here with nice family venues that support local bands!) and the occasional coffee house. Fun group to play with - I am primarily a bluegrass picker, but now I play songs with MORE than 3 chords in them, and they have funny names... Like G demented 5th, stuff like that... and, my bio... http://back-burner.net/images/band/tom.htm -T_T |
