Laptop coolers, I mean "notebook"

I have a feeling part of the reason my hard drive died was due to heat? I used to sit with it on my lap, strange thing to do with a laptop I know! I have also noticed that since I installed Windows 7, it seems to run cooler. I also took some "canned air" and blew out the vent, a bunch of dust came flying out so that couldn't have been helping? The fan doesn't run half as much as it used to now. I was just wondering how much benefit there is to getting a cooler when I am using it on the desk? They don't seem to cost too much...

Computer getting hot using that fancy schmancy new software you got at a discount price That one probably works really well but I think it'll turn your laptop into a desktop.

Actually, if you read all of my post, it runs cooler then it did. but I also think part of the reason the old drive failed was due to heat? I have it on the desk most of the time anyway, mainly because it doesn't have a battery right now.

But, I figure while using it at home, it wouldn't hurt to have it cooled off? I don't really see me taking it anywhere in the near future anyway. I have semi-retired from motocross photography pending return of a decent president to facilitate an actual economy.

All I know is, Bush was good for motorcycles...

I doubt it was heat or a little dust, that's not a common reason why a hard drive will fail.

I had this one. It keeps your laptop cool but if you have it on your lap it will freeze your balls.

You'll need that cooler to keep you cool as you spend eternity in hell for that copy of windows you have.

Do we really need to advertise that?
